BaxterStorey has officially secured a contract extension with British Airways until 2035 to manage hospitality services across its UK airport lounges.

The catering and hospitality provider has also appointed Kirsty Hurst-Worth as regional director for the British Airways lounges business to oversee the contract.

Hurst-Worth, who has managed operations across the airline’s UK lounge estate for more than a decade, will lead a team of more than 700 employees. The role holds responsibility for client relationships, commercial performance, personnel strategy, and service development.

Under the renewed agreement, the company will continue to deliver catering, housekeeping, and hospitality services. The contract spans 13 lounges at Heathrow, Gatwick, Aberdeen, Edinburgh, and Glasgow airports.

The workforce serves up to 14,000 guests per day during peak periods. The extension builds on a partnership that began in 2013.

According to BaxterStorey, the contract renewal and leadership change align with the investment strategy for its travel division and long-term growth within the aviation hospitality sector.

Hurst-Worth said: “I’m delighted to step into this new role and even more pleased that we are extending our relationship with British Airways. I’m looking forward to continuing to work alongside our team to ensure the guest experience across the lounges continues to go from strength to strength.”

Matt Callard, head of lounge experience at British Airways, said: “Our shared commitment to excellence and world-class standards makes this collaboration especially meaningful, and the longevity of our relationship is a true testament to the strength of the partnership and the outstanding team behind it.”

Ronan Harte, chief executive of BaxterStorey, added: “We are truly delighted to be strengthening our long-standing partnership with British Airways, and to be looking ahead to delivering even more innovation and memorable hospitality experiences to the thousands of customers we welcome every day.”
