McDonald’s UK and Ireland has appointed Tim Kenward as chief marketing officer, effective from May 2026.
Kenward will oversee all aspects of the marketing function across the two markets. Kenward has spent more than 15 years within the McDonald’s system, beginning his career in Australia.
He most recently served as senior marketing director for the international operated markets business unit, where he partnered with managing directors and marketing heads across a portfolio of global territories.
During his recent tenure, Kenward led the reinvention of value strategy in key regions. He also oversaw World Menu Heist, a project inspired by a previous UK and Ireland campaign that became the first multi-market initiative for the brand.
The appointment follows Kenward’s work in driving commercial and brand performance across diverse markets.
He is expected to focus on combining local consumer insights with global operational practices to drive growth and innovation.
Tim Kenward, chief marketing officer of McDonald’s UK and Ireland, said: “I’ve watched the work that’s been done in the UK and Ireland with admiration over a number of years, so I’m really excited to be leading a team where I know inspiration thrives at every corner and creativity is so deeply embedded in the culture.”
Kenward added: “I’m looking forward to using my experience within the global system to combine strong local insight with global best practice, and my focus will be on driving continuous growth, innovation and long‑term brand excellence across the region.”
