Young’s has agreed to acquire Cubitt House for £30m to expand its portfolio of premium pubs and bedrooms.
The deal includes eight leasehold sites located in “affluent” areas of west London and a ninth pub currently under development in Belgravia.
The acquisition features venues such as The Barley Mow in Mayfair, The Builders Arms in Chelsea, and The Coach Makers Arms in Marylebone.
Other sites involved in the transaction include The Grazing Goat, The Orange, The Princess Royal, The Thomas Cubitt, and The Alfred Tennyson.
The company stated it intends to retain the existing teams and culture within the Cubitt House business.
The purchase aligns with a long-term strategy to operate well-invested pubs in prime London locations.
Young’s will fund the acquisition through its existing banking facilities. The transaction is expected to complete on 22 April 2026, marking a significant addition to the group’s estate in the capital.
Simon Dodd, chief executive of Young’s, said: “We are delighted to be adding this collection of iconic pubs and pubs with rooms to the Young’s estate. Located in some of London’s most affluent neighbourhoods, these premium sites align perfectly with our strategy to selectively expand our business.”
