Broadwick and Smart Group have announced a joint venture to provide exclusive catering across Broadwick’s London venue portfolio, launching in Summer 2026.
The partnership formalises a relationship between the two companies dating back to 2016. The new business will operate independently of Smart Group brands Moving Venue and Last Supper.
The venture will serve 12 locations, including Drumsheds, Magazine London, and Exhibition White City. The portfolio hosts over 2,500 events annually, generating revenues above £100m.
Smart Group, which records annual revenues exceeding £57m, delivers 1,000 events each year.
The new studio aims to integrate hospitality into venue operations rather than using external suppliers.
Simon Tracey, Broadwick chief executive, said: “For a long time, hospitality in live environments has been fragmented, with different suppliers, different standards, and often brought in too late to really shape the experience. This is about changing that. By building a dedicated studio with Smart Group, we’re able to design hospitality into the fabric of each venue, not layer it on afterwards.”
Greg Lawson, Smart Group chief executive, added: “Having worked with Broadwick for nearly a decade across some of London’s most complex and high-capacity venues, we look forward to formalising the relationship through a dedicated company, creating greater clarity and focus. We’re excited to launch what will be a bold new force in the industry, setting a fresh benchmark for innovation, creativity and delivery.”
