Buvette, a restaurant concept created by chef Jody Williams, has opened a new venue in London’s Covent Garden.
The 2,800 square foot site at 2 Neal’s Yard has space for 80 diners and serves an all-day menu focused on French home cooking.
The launch follows previous openings for the brand in New York, Tokyo and Seoul. The menu features breakfast dishes alongside classic French options such as coq au vin, cassoulet and escargots. The restaurant also includes al fresco seating and a premium wine list.
The restaurant is located in the Seven Dials area, which is managed by real estate investment trust Shaftesbury Capital. The neighborhood has recently attracted several other chef-led businesses, including the restaurant Burro by Conor Gadd in Floral Court.
Other premium dining brands in the area include Story Cellar, Café Murano, The Barbary, Notto and ST JOHN Neal’s Yard Bakery and Bar.
Shaftesbury Capital head of restaurant leasing Emma Matus said: “Neal’s Yard has long been synonymous with creativity and independence, and Buvette is a natural addition to that story. Having earned a loyal following in New York, Tokyo and Seoul, its arrival in Covent Garden reinforces the area’s appeal to internationally acclaimed operators seeking a home within one of London’s leading culinary neighbourhoods.
“Attracting celebrated chef-led concepts is central to our approach to curating Covent Garden’s restaurant offer. Buvette brings a distinctive all-day dining experience that complements the area’s existing mix of celebrated restaurants and bolsters Seven Dials as a destination for Londoners and international visitors seeking high-quality, experience-led hospitality.”
