Restaurant Associates Venues has secured a three-year contract to manage hospitality services at the Royal Air Force Museum London.

The agreement extends the firm’s existing partnership with the museum group, as it currently provides catering services for the RAF Museum Midlands. The London site is located on a historic airfield in Colindale.

The caterer will manage the Hendon Kitchen, a family-friendly café focused on British ingredients. The museum features six hangars housing a collection of historic aircraft and wartime artefacts.

Beyond daytime visitor services, the contract includes the management of corporate meetings and evening events.

The museum offers gala dinner spaces where guests dine beneath the wings of aircraft including the Avro Lancaster.

The site recently introduced a new indoor airfield-themed play area for children. The venue serves as a location for receptions alongside combat aircraft such as the Spitfire.

Richard Herring, business director for Restaurant Associates Venues, said: “This new contract really strengthens our trusted partnership with RAF Museums. Bringing our expertise to RAF Museum London allows us to deliver what we do best, developing strong conferences and events businesses in unique heritage settings, while elevating the visitor experience.

“We’re looking forward to creating something personal and distinctive for the London museum, delivering a genuinely warm and welcoming offer that sits naturally within this iconic and inspiring space.”

Barry Smith, director of visitor and commercial development at the museum, added: “Their understanding of our unique environment and commitment to high-quality, visitor-focused hospitality makes them an excellent fit for this iconic site.”
